Spaceman Cell, Enzyme Dynamite, and DJ True Justice of The Bayliens stopped by the show to talk about their album and gave everyone a taste of their music. You can catch them on the air on Wild 94.9 HD Radio every Saturday 2-6PM. Make sure to pick up their debut album, Crop Circles.

After the show, we headed over to Motif where we met up with Flossafee and Jay Three (The Bayliens) for a few drinks before The Bayliens rocked the roof off The Agenda.

Back in July, 10 Deep clothing collaborated with Kid Cudi to release the mixtape A Kid Named Cudi. Since then, Kid Cudi has performed at the 2008 MTV VMAs alongside Travis Barker and DJ AM and signed to Kanye West's G.O.O.D. Music label touring alongside Kanye in the Glow In The Dark Tour. Yesterday was the first ever Youtube Live Stream event at Fort Mason Center in San Francisco. Youtube organized this huge event bringing out people that amassed fame from their internet videos, including Tay Zonday, Amber Lee Ettinger (Obama Girl) and Fred. Juan Mann was giving out free hugs during the Sick Puppies performance.

During the Will.I.Am performance, I saw this group of kids walking around, all wearing V for Vendetta masks. They were passing out fliers of propaganda against Youtube. I didn't think they would want to attract too much attention, but they didn't mind at all when I asked them for a picture.

Live performances from Planet B-Boy groups, Last For One (Korea), Phase T (France) and Knucklehead Zoo (Las Vegas). Music performances from Katy Perry, Soulja Boy, Sick Puppies and Akon. Akon even did a couple stage dives.

Outside were a couple of girls in full El-Wire (I'm guessing) suits skating around on roller skates. Another one was dancing on top of a giant box with artworks from Bay Area artists Alex Pardee, Sam Flores and Jeremy Fish.

I went to watch the USC Trojans verus Stanford Cardinals yesterday. The new Stanford stadium is pretty nice. Renovated in 2006, the stadium seats approximately 50,000. Here are some of the pictures from last night.

Nothing like a random adventure to Treasure Island and San Francisco at 3 in the morning on a Friday morning with Betty. No cars or people in the streets. Taking pictures of each other and centipedes, walking down the curvy Lombard Street, reading rules of operation of a bathroom in Justin Herman Plaza, tracking down a skunk and doing some light grafitti. For a few brief hours, the city was ours for the taking with no care in the world.

Today was the last football game of the season for the kids at the Boys and Girls Club in Redwood City. It was an end to a long and tiring season, chalk full of frustration and disappointment. It's not disappointing because we didn't win one game. It was never about winning. It was because they don't always show up to practice or try their best. And that is disappointing. But something was different today. It was the last game of the year. They played their hearts out and left it all on the field.

After the game, I sat them down and asked each of them to name something they learned this year. And though they lost every game this year, it was apparent they all took something far more valuable. They learned about leadership, responsibility and teamwork. For that, I've never been more proud to coach these kids.

For the past couple of years, we've been teaming up with Element and Synergy to bring you biggest Halloween Bash to the Bay. This year was no different as we took over San Francisco City Hall. The place was packed from wall-to-wall. If you weren't there, you definitely missed out.

The madness ensues. Looking for your friends was like trying to find Waldo. At the same time, I was pretty much a walking zombie last night thanks to the lack of sleep of trying to finish my costume, in which I failed miserably. I guess there's always next year.

Last month, Mike Shinoda of Linkin Park and Fort Minor opened the first of a two part art show, Glorious Excess (Born) at the Japanese American National Museum.

Outside from fame through the music with Linkin Park, not too many people realize that Mike Shinoda is an incredible artist. Mike went to Art Center College of Design, where he met Turntablist, Joseph Hahn. Graduating with a degree in Illustration, Mike and Joe are the minds behind the album artwork and music videos. He has also done collaborations with DC Shoes, which also features a separate video interview.

In the video, Mike explains the idea behind Glorious Excess, where the character experience different facets of celebrity rock star lifestyle. He talks about our cultural obsession with celebrity, whether it's the rise to fame and fortune or the fall from grace through drugs and scandals. Mike also talks about the style, detail and process behind each piece.

The second part of his exhibit will open in January. You can still purchase some of the limited artwork on his website.

Dinner plans fell through so we swung by Rock The Bells concert at Shoreline. Caught the Nas and part of A Tribe Called Quest act before heading out to the city. Gotta thank Kim and DJ Scratch for hooking it up with free tickets at last minute.

DJ Scratch is one of the most recognized & respected exhibition, tour & club DJs in the world. Shortly after winning the New Music Seminar Battle for World Supremacy DJ Championship in 1988, he joined the RUN DMC “Run's House World Tour.” The late Jam Master Jay mentored Scratch & converted him from a raw battle DJ to an all around performer & showman. In exchange, Scratch taught Jam Master Jay DJ solos that he performed in RUN DMC shows ever since. When the tour ended, Jam Master Jay recommended Scratch to EPMD, who needed a DJ with flair. After EPMD witnessed the DJ phenomenon do tricks at their first show, they hired Scratch on the spot.

Since then, Scratch has gone on to work with Jay Z, Diddy and helped produce albums for Busta Rhymes, LL Cool J, 50 Cent, Talib Kweli, The Roots, Q-tip and more, including 3 Grammy nominations and over 40 Gold and Platinum Awards to his credit. He is currently DJing for A Tribe Called Quest during the Rock The Bells Tour.

Yesterday was the official launch of the Gumball 3000 Rally. People packed in along the streets of the Fairmont Hotel, climbing on flowerbeds, street lamp posts or whatever they can to try and catch a glimpse of celebrities and some of the most exotic cars in the world. Some of the celebrities taking part in this year's event includes Rob Dydrek, Travis Barker, Jermaine Dupri, John Mayer, Bucky Lasek, Orlando Jones and Bam Margera.

The Gumball 3000 is an around the world 3,000 mile eight-day motorsport rally, featuring the most amazing cars driven by film stars, musicians, athletes, billionaires and motorsport enthusiasts. Kicking off in San Francisco, the Gumball 3000 will take its 3,000 mile route through Los Angeles, San Diego, and Las Vegas. Upon reaching Las Vegas, the 120 cars and participating drivers will be flown to Pyongyang, North Korea, then flown to Hangzhou, China, where they will pick up the rally and continue to Shanghai and Xuzhou and the final destination of Beijing’s Tiananmen Square on Saturday, August 16.

Gumball 3000 doesn't officially start until tomorrow, but some of the cars gathered in front of the Fairmont Hotel in Nob Hill before the launch party at Temple. I stopped by to take a peek.

PUMA is this year's official sponsor. As the official sponsor, all of the 120 Gumball 3000 cars will be branded with the official PUMA Gumball Sticker Kit and each driver will receive an exclusive PUMA Gumball T-shirt and Special Edition Speed Cat.

PUMA will have their very own car as part of the Rally, capturing video and photos along the way. The PUMA Mobile Unit is all set and stock full of Gumball gear.

I had to skip the launch party at Temple because I had to take care of some stuff.

Johnny Cupcakes Grand Opening

Yesterday was the grand opening of Johnny Cupcakes on Melrose. Hundreds of eager fans lined up anticipating the opening of the tricked out new store. Remember the process? The line started 4 days before the store opened.

At approximately 3PM, two men, looking like the Super Mario Brothers, drove up to the front of the store in a Johnny Cupcakes truck. In the back was a giant mysterious crate. What can be inside?!

It's none other than Johnny Cupcakes himself. Talk about making an entrance. Check out the commotion that Johnny caused.

This week is the 14th annual North Beach Jazz Festival. Performing at the Great American Music Hall tonight was Bitter:Sweet. One of my favorite Jazz bands.

Bitter:Sweet is an Electronic/Jazz-Pop duo from Los Angeles - with Kiran Shahani on guitar and Shana Halligan providing her intoxicating vocals. I stumbled onto this band on Pure Volume back in early 2006, just before the release of their debut album, The Mating Game. Since then, they have won the Best Rock/Pop Album of 2006 at the Independent Music Awards and had their music featured in shows like Grey’s Anatomy, Nip/Tuck, Entourage, Desperate Housewives and Lipstick Jungle. Earlier this month, Shana and Kiran released their sophomore album, Drama.

I stopped by Manifesto today to pick up a new bike. Owned by Sam and Mackay, Manifesto is a new bicycle shop that just opened in Oakland 3 months ago. I hung out at the store and chatted with Nico and Eric while Sam custom built my bike. Cool people, nice neighborhood. It's definitely the spot to check out. It's also featured in The Oakbook.

The permanent exhibition explores the Maya, Ancient Egypt, the Kumeyaay Indians of San Diego County, Human Evolution, and the Human Life Cycle, holding over 72,000 artifacts, including hieroglyphics, murals, pottery and skulls.

One room I didn't spend too much time in was Ancient Egypt. There was an ominous feeling as I entered the room. The room was with masks, amulets and even sarcophagus and a real mummy. You could a damp spot from where the fluid is seeping through the bandages. That's when I bolted for the door. It's pretty creepy being alone in a room with a mummy.

Aboard the U.S.S. Midway

The U.S.S. Midway was the first United States Navy aircraft carrier to be commissioned after the end of World War II. This historic aircraft carrier was active in many operations including the Vietnam War and Operation Desert Storm. The U.S.S. Midway is the only remaining aircraft carrier of the World War II era that is not an Essex-class ship.

In August 1991, Midway departed Yokosuka and returned to Pearl Harbor where Independence replaced Midway as the forward-deployed carrier in Yokosuka. Midway then sailed to San Diego where it was decommissioned at Naval Air Station North Island on April 11th, 1992. In January 2004, the ship was moored at its final location at the Broadway Pier in downtown San Diego and opened to public as a museum later that summer.

There were so many turns and corridors, I would have easily gotten lost if not for the chains blocking off rooms and little yellow arrows pointing the directions to go. Each room filled with machines with hundreds of nobs and buttons controlling the massive aircraft carrier.

It's amazing how small each corridor is. The hallways and doors were so narrow, it's hard to imagine the thousands of men living aboard the ship, running to their stations. Their bunk beds were not much bigger than a baby's crib, served double as their lockers. I'm sure some of the crew wished they were serving above deck or in solitary confinement, unless you were the captain or admiral, of course.

Olafur Eliasson Waterfalls

Normally, if New Yorkers wanted to catch a glimpse of a waterfall, they would have to drive upstate to Niagara. Not anymore. Danish-Icelandic artist, Olafur Eliasson, and a team of about two hundred people, worked together to create four towering waterfalls in New York, ranging from 90-120 feet tall.

These waterfalls took over 3 months and approximately $15.5 million dollars to built, pumping out 35,000 gallons of water per minute. Like famous environmental installation artists, Christo and Jeanne-Claude, the money was funded by private donors, supported by Public Art Fund. These waterfalls are located at Pier 35 of the Manhattan Bridge, the Brooklyn Tower of the Brooklyn Bridge, Piers 4 and 5 of the Brooklyn Heights Promenade, and the north shore of Governors Island.

The Nike Dunk High Supreme Destroyers was released back in December. Made out of premium leather and wool, the same materials you would find on a varsity jacket. The word DESTROYERS is embossed onto the back heel of the shoe. It also comes with gold lace locks.

Recently, Allen AKA of 12ozProphet had the chance to visit the studio of photographer, Martha Cooper. Martha is recognized for her graffiti and hip hop photos. She's been taking pictures virtually her entire life, when her father gave Martha her first camera when she was just 2 years old back in the 1940s. In the 70s, she moved to New York City and worked as a staff photographer for the New York Post. She started chasing graffiti on the walls of New York City's Lower East Side, crawling through the very same tunnels and train yards as the writers do. She was introduced to the late Style Wars, Style Master General, Dondi White, and he taught her everything there is to know about graffiti. She photographed alongside of Henry Chalfant to publish Subway Arts in 1984.

When digging through Marty’s archives, classic shots like FBA’s Sab Kaze whole car with Tack’s mind-blowing alien and shark characters, and Dondi straddling between two number 2 trains in the Newlots yard as he puts the finishing touches on one of his Children of the Grave whole cars, are just some of what you’ll see amongst the thousands of shots Marty caught during this era.

I just got this book in the mail today. Forever and Ever is Shawn Barber's second monograph of Tattoo Portraits. An in depth study of tattoo culture through paintings. It features photographs, paintings by Shawn Barber, as well as essays chronicling a 3 year living journal by Grime, Chuck Eldrige, Paul Booth, Henry Lewis, and Justin Giarla. The paintings are absolutely amazing. The book will be available at 9mm and Borders next week.

On Thursday, The Hundreds released a collaborative watch with Casio G-Shock and XLARGE, as part of the 25th Anniversary celebration. Like all G-Shocks, the DW-6900FS is shock resistant. It also features 200m water resistance, countdown timer, 1/100 sec. stopwatch and auto-calendar with XL and TH engraved on the stainless steel back.

After a 2 year hiatus, Hella Records, Fran Boogie and Soul Deluxxe have brought back Vintage Session. Unfortunately, I wasn't able to make it since I had to take pictures for aKDPhi Formal. But Fred from Suckafreeze was there for the action.

The highlight of Vintage Session is always the runway fashion show. Designers who showcased included True, Fatlace, Iris, Red Clay, Hellz Bellz, HomeRoom, Nicacelly and FTC.

It's 4am and I just got back from the biggest Memorial Weekend Bash at Temple in the city. The house was wall to wall packed. I love Temple. It's the closest thing to Vegas. If you've never been there, it's definitely the place to be. Three level, 5 rooms and 5 bars with flat screen TV's everywhere.

I saw so many people I've known from way back in the days. People I went to high school with, old co-workers and friends I used to hang out with. Sexy Emily Vargas came up from San Diego. I haven't seen her for 5 years.

Loft 11

Last night was the Ascension party at Loft 11. I wore my T-Qualizer shirt and it was a complete hit. The party wasn't as big as I had hoped, but it was still a good turnout. It was fun and I met some cool people. Here's some of the pictures from last night.

Gilbert holding it down on the ones and twos. Open bar was only for the first hour, but the folks behind the bar hooked us up with the free drinks all night long.

I don't remember the names of the girls. But one of them told me that she wants to freak every time the equalizer bars on my shirt hit red. They proceeded to show me by making out and getting their freak on. Sweet!

Here's to Cindy. She just got back Thursday night from her 2 month stay in Nicaragua for some non-profit work. What better way to celebrate than by drinking some AMF. Glad to have you back Cindy.

Went to Koi Garden in Dublin for lunch. Nothing like greasy Dim Sum to weigh you down for the rest of the day. I must have drank 20 cups of tea. I feel disgusting. Honestly, I'm not a big fan of Chinese food, mainly because I eat it every day. I do, however, miss the Dim Sum in Hong Kong.

Wednesday night was the Casio G-Shock 25th Anniversary Private party held by Spike Lee. Bobby Kim (The Hundreds), Nick Tershay (Diamond), Jessica "Yoshi" (Fatlace), Jeff Staple (Staple Design), Yonehara Yasumasa (CexWork) were some of the folks invited to this event. To top off the night, Kanye West perform, sporting a pair of Dior Homme hi-tops and some light up shades, surrounded by topless girls in space helmets.

It was a really nice day today. I took a break from my projects and studying to run some errands and hang out with Betty and Gucci. Bought some awesome fabric for another project. Went to Central Park Dog Park in Fremont so Gucci can get some play time.

After the park, we headed over to Fro-ggie for some frozen yogurt. I've been dying for some. I ordered half original, half strawberry tart with mochi, strawberries and pineapple as toppings. Betty ordered half and half as well, with mochi, mango and blackberries as toppings. It's no Pinkberry, but it definitely hit the spot.

He's part of the France Electro music movement that has brought Daft Punk, Justice, SebastiAn and Yelle.
