Spinatiks Online Radio is the brainchild of several young entrepreneurs whose vision is to bring together musicians of all skill levels and music genres and provide them a stage where they can showcase their talent within an interactive mixshow. Stemming from their own experiences participating in various musical events, their goal is to give that same opportunity to individuals who seek an opportunity to be exposed to the world. Spinatiks Radio is hosted by D-ROC, SpinDizzy and Y-Star, LIVE every Saturday, from 7-10PM at South First Billiards in San Jose.
Spaceman Cell, Enzyme Dynamite, and DJ True Justice of The Bayliens stopped by the show to talk about their album and gave everyone a taste of their music. You can catch them on the air on Wild 94.9 HD Radio every Saturday 2-6PM. Make sure to pick up their debut album, Crop Circles.
After the show, we headed over to Motif where we met up with Flossafee and Jay Three (The Bayliens) for a few drinks before The Bayliens rocked the roof off The Agenda.

Who said Black Friday is only good for shopping? Check out some of the pictures from last night as Ascension introduces you to the new venue, The Heights Ultra Lounge.
Shout-outs to everyone that came out. Especially the ladies that came all the way up from Fresno and Navato. Happy birthday to Bee and Lily. As always, the rest of the pictures will be up on Ascension's website.

Day 'N' Nite
Back in July, 10 Deep clothing collaborated with Kid Cudi to release the mixtape A Kid Named Cudi. Since then, Kid Cudi has performed at the 2008 MTV VMAs alongside Travis Barker and DJ AM and signed to Kanye West's G.O.O.D. Music label touring alongside Kanye in the Glow In The Dark Tour. I can't get enough of this track.

Youtube Live
Yesterday was the first ever Youtube Live Stream event at Fort Mason Center in San Francisco. Youtube organized this huge event bringing out people that amassed fame from their internet videos, including Tay Zonday, Amber Lee Ettinger (Obama Girl) and Fred. Juan Mann was giving out free hugs during the Sick Puppies performance.
During the Will.I.Am performance, I saw this group of kids walking around, all wearing V for Vendetta masks. They were passing out fliers of propaganda against Youtube. I didn't think they would want to attract too much attention, but they didn't mind at all when I asked them for a picture.
Live performances from Planet B-Boy groups, Last For One (Korea), Phase T (France) and Knucklehead Zoo (Las Vegas). Music performances from Katy Perry, Soulja Boy, Sick Puppies and Akon. Akon even did a couple stage dives.
Outside were a couple of girls in full El-Wire (I'm guessing) suits skating around on roller skates. Another one was dancing on top of a giant box with artworks from Bay Area artists Alex Pardee, Sam Flores and Jeremy Fish.
It's too bad I was so far away from the stage and no picture can do justice. Watch the entire show on Youtube Live.

Trojan
I went to watch the USC Trojans verus Stanford Cardinals yesterday. The new Stanford stadium is pretty nice. Renovated in 2006, the stadium seats approximately 50,000. Here are some of the pictures from last night.
Steve Sarkisian leading the USC offensive huddle right before the Trojans went on a scoring onslaught, including a pair of touchdown by running back, Stefon Johnson.
I wonder what's going through the mind of the Stanford player on the ground, as he watches CJ Gable scrambles for 24 yards after wiffing on the tackle.

Adventure at 3AM
Nothing like a random adventure to Treasure Island and San Francisco at 3 in the morning on a Friday morning with Betty. No cars or people in the streets. Taking pictures of each other and centipedes, walking down the curvy Lombard Street, reading rules of operation of a bathroom in Justin Herman Plaza, tracking down a skunk and doing some light grafitti. For a few brief hours, the city was ours for the taking with no care in the world.

This Modern Love
It took convincing, but the guys at La Blogotheque, talked Kele Orkereke and Russell Lissack of Bloc Party to perform a never before seen, impromptu acoustic performance of This Modern Love. Check out this beautiful performance.

Swerve
Last night was Ascenion's monthly party at Bambuddha Lounge with the $5 drink specials. As always, I got to thank the gorgeous Miss Misty for lining up shots after shots. Happy Birthday girl! Here are some pictures from the madness.
We had the ladies of Desired Temptations in the house. Emmy Lou and Kassy hung out for a bit before they got up and danced on bartop for us. Even Misty got in on the action.
Thanks Joyce for helping take pictures. Way to hit on the girl in black just so you can talk her into getting her picture taken. A+ on effort! Come out on the 21st and we'll do it again.
The rest of the pictures will be up on Ascension's website.
