It is with my deepest regret to inform you that as of today, Stage6.com has shutdown. Stage6 was an alternative source to viewing streaming videos online. Unlike Youtube, Stage6 allowed you to view and download videos in high quality DivX format (some in HD). I have gone back and fixed all the videos embedded on my blog so no worries. I will not convert to Youtube's crappy video quality or their ugly template. You will be missed. Good times. Good times...

WonderCon
This weekend, I hit up WonderCon at the Moscone Center in San Francisco with Jon Mendez. For those not too familiar, WonderCon is a big comic book convention where actors and directors talk about upcoming movies, artists show off their drawing skills, and fans can be superheroes for the day. There were some pretty cool costumes. Walked over to Sanraku at the Metreon for sushi. As we were heading back, we passed by the Chinese New Year Parade.
Here are some of the pictures from Saturday.

Optimus Maximus

After hearing about the Optimus Maximus keyboard over two years ago, Art Lebedev Studio is finally taking orders and shipping out these bad boys. Every key is fully customizable so you can easily create a visual mapping for a specific key to do a certain function. You can draw your own keys and making them appear only when you run a certain program. What's also cool is when you press Caps Lock for instance, all your keys will switch to capital letters.
The Maximus Optimus keyboard is still in its early stages, so there are still some bugs to kink out.
You can order your Optimus Maximus keyboard at Art Lebedev Studio. Price starts at $462.30 USD. Visit their website to find out more info about keyboard and their other products.

E-Paper Slap Bracelet
Remember those slap-on bracelets we all loved so much back in the early 90's? The same ones we used to try to slap it on everyone and everything. Or how they were taken off market because supposedly people were slitting their own wrists with the metal? YIKES! Well, they're back. Sort of. Chocolate Agency created a mp4 player using e-paper technology that allows us to download images onto the device. Maybe they'll add a phone function into it as well before it goes into the production line. Sweetness!

Old School Mixtapes
Remember back in the days, in the 80's and early 90's, when you sat around pirating music on that old dual cassette boombox of yours and making mixtapes for yourself or for that special someone? Mixa has created a 1GB USB drive with the classic cassette tape housing. You can custom design your tape by either using their pre-made images or upload your own images. Word.

Aitor Throup
Simply amazing. Aitor Throup's MA collection tells a story of "When Football Hooligans Become Hindu Gods". His platform was based on European football (American soccer) casual attire. Love his designs and drawings.

Kamen Rider
I've been stuck on the Japanese Kamen Rider series, also known as Masked Rider. It has been years since I've watched anything remotely close to Power Rangers. It could be the fact that American remakes are pure garbage. I know what you're all thinking. Ya ya...SHUT UP! It's my little guilty pleasure. Let me have my fun dammit!

The Haight Street Kids
This captivating 6 minute documentary reveals a glimpse into a subculture which has not been explored before - the Haight Street life.
Every year hundreds of teenagers and young adults from around the country run away from home and flock to Haight Asbury in San Francisco. A modern counterpart to the hippie movement of the sixties, these "kids" have created their own homeless culture which mixes panhandling, drug use, musical performance, anarchist values, pet dogs and illegal travel on freight trains. The community of traveling kids around Haight Street actively defy all constructs of traditional modern society.
This short documentary interviews several street kids and musicians in an attempt to understand their motives for leaving home, their daily lives on the Haight, and their hopes for the future.
