Stuck On Repeat

I was looking at the Yamaha Tenori-On and I found this video of Little Boots playing with it. You have to watch the video. Each button on the Tenori-On creates a different sound utilizing MIDI.

How hot is that? Who wants to buy that for me? It's only about $1200.

Hellz-Bellz Warehouse Sale

Ladies. Here's some pictures from the new Hellz-Bellz Summer '08 Collection, Heat Wave lookbook.

This Saturday is also the Hellz-Bellz Warehouse Sale at Fatlace. Fatlace is inviting everyone to hang out, enjoy the BBQ, and of course, take advantage of the 50%-70% off, as they turn the place into a Hellz-Bellz pop-up store. Then head over to 111 Minna Gallery for the after party. Fashion Show starts at midnight.

I should be done with taking pictures for the alpha Kappa Delti Phi Formal by then, so I'll swing by and try to take some pictures.

One Too Many

This song is hilarious. I'm sure some of you have experienced this first hand or know someone that has. Don't even try to deny it.

London - One Too Many

Temple SF

It's 4am and I just got back from the biggest Memorial Weekend Bash at Temple in the city. The house was wall to wall packed. I love Temple. It's the closest thing to Vegas. If you've never been there, it's definitely the place to be. Three level, 5 rooms and 5 bars with flat screen TV's everywhere.

I saw so many people I've known from way back in the days. People I went to high school with, old co-workers and friends I used to hang out with. Sexy Emily Vargas came up from San Diego. I haven't seen her for 5 years.

Rest of the pictures will be up on Element's website.

Loft 11

Last night was the Ascension party at Loft 11. I wore my T-Qualizer shirt and it was a complete hit. The party wasn't as big as I had hoped, but it was still a good turnout. It was fun and I met some cool people. Here's some of the pictures from last night.

Gilbert holding it down on the ones and twos. Open bar was only for the first hour, but the folks behind the bar hooked us up with the free drinks all night long.

I don't remember the names of the girls. But one of them told me that she wants to freak every time the equalizer bars on my shirt hit red. They proceeded to show me by making out and getting their freak on. Sweet!

Here's to Cindy. She just got back Thursday night from her 2 month stay in Nicaragua for some non-profit work. What better way to celebrate than by drinking some AMF. Glad to have you back Cindy.

You can see the rest on Ascension's website as soon as they update it.

Koi Garden

Went to Koi Garden in Dublin for lunch. Nothing like greasy Dim Sum to weigh you down for the rest of the day. I must have drank 20 cups of tea. I feel disgusting. Honestly, I'm not a big fan of Chinese food, mainly because I eat it every day. I do, however, miss the Dim Sum in Hong Kong.

Viva La Vida

Here's another track from their upcoming album. Chris Martin and the boys never seize to amaze me. I can't wait for the album to drop.

Chocolate

I think this song goes perfect with my last post. Melting, sticky, sweet.

Erin Ivey - Chocolate

Ice Cream

It's Betty's birthday today so I took her to some ice cream. But I told her she wasn't allowed to eat it until it was melted all over her hands. What a trooper.

Violet Hill

First single from Coldplay's upcoming album Viva La Vida or Death And All His Friends. Album set to drop June 17th. They also just announced their US and Canada tour dates.

Vuoto Buca

We headed out to the city for Milton's birthday at Buca di Beppo. We actually got there a little bit early so we decided to hit up Jillian's to get some drinks. After a few rounds, we headed back to Buca di Beppo for dinner. We got drunk way too early and these were pretty much the only pictures I took before I handed my camera off.

After dinner, everyone made their way to Tabu. More drinks. More fun. I chilled at Jeff's place for a bit then drove home around 6AM, just as the sun was rising. Recovery time. I still have a term project to finish.

It's That Beat (Toxic Avenger Remix)

Sibot and Spoek have come together to form Playdoe, a Electro Hip-Hop group from South Africa. Enjoy.

Casio G-Shock 25th Anniversary

Wednesday night was the Casio G-Shock 25th Anniversary Private party held by Spike Lee. Bobby Kim (The Hundreds), Nick Tershay (Diamond), Jessica "Yoshi" (Fatlace), Jeff Staple (Staple Design), Yonehara Yasumasa (CexWork) were some of the folks invited to this event. To top off the night, Kanye West perform, sporting a pair of Dior Homme hi-tops and some light up shades, surrounded by topless girls in space helmets.

Here are some of the pictures by Abbey Braden and Yoshi. My pictures from Glow in the Dark concert can't compare to these intimate close up shots.

Man Machine

I'm going old school with this one. Kraftwerk revolutionized Electronic music back in the 70's, which they like to call it "Robot Pop".

Gianluca Fallone

Here are some sweet designs by an Argentinian illustrator, Gianluca Fallone. He's done designs for companies such as Nike, Cartoon Network and MTV.

Put On

Another track featuring Kanye West. Once again, Kanye uses an auto tune voice synthesizer. Has he been hanging out with T-Pain?

Cedric Delsaux

Cedric Delsaux is a French photographer who uses Star Wars characters in real world locations. He photographs the figures and then digitally place them in Parisian suburbs. He talks about this feeling, of what is "real" is also a "fantasy".

"My images are not completely real, nor absolutely imaginary, neither true nor false — they are about the in-between. This undefined space I find so poetic."

Check out the rest the Star Wars on Earth series and his other work on his website.

Gucci The Hoochie

It was a really nice day today. I took a break from my projects and studying to run some errands and hang out with Betty and Gucci. Bought some awesome fabric for another project. Went to Central Park Dog Park in Fremont so Gucci can get some play time.

After the park, we headed over to Fro-ggie for some frozen yogurt. I've been dying for some. I ordered half original, half strawberry tart with mochi, strawberries and pineapple as toppings. Betty ordered half and half as well, with mochi, mango and blackberries as toppings. It's no Pinkberry, but it definitely hit the spot.

Featured Artist: Kavinsky

Kavinsky is another artist you may or may not have heard of. That is unless you were at the Daft Punk Alive 2007 World Tour or Coachella just a few weeks back. He's part of the France Electro music movement that has brought Daft Punk, Justice, SebastiAn and Yelle. Check out this video for Testarossa Autodrive, from the album 1986, named after his car accident. This song is also featured in the new Grand Theft Auto IV game.

Halu Shabu Shabu

Went to Halu Shabu Shabu in Dublin for Mother's Day dinner. The place was alright. Not that great. We ordered a few plates of Angus Ribeye Beef. It comes with a bowl of rice and a plate with udon, cabbage, mushroom and tofu with each order. They also have American Kobe Beef and Japanese Wagyu Beef on the menu, which will run you about $49 and $198, respectively, for 10 slices. I'll tell you how that goes when I win the lottery and grow a sudden craving for eating hundred dollar bills.

Johnny Cupcakes

Johnny Cupcakes just posted a sneak peek video of his store opening up on Melrose in LA. For the people unfamiliar with Johnny Cupcakes, they walk in expecting to see a baked good store filled with, well...cupcakes, when in actuality, it's filled with clothing and accessories. That's because he designed his shops to look like an actual bakery.

I remember a few years back when his company was just starting up. He would go around in a van, throwing Cupcake parties. That's something I hope he brings back. It's awesome to see the company grow and to see his creativity come to live. I can't wait to see the outcome of his new store. Be sure to check out his online store. Here are some of my stuff.

Kang Nam Tofu House

I had a craving for Korean food so I decided to have lunch at Kang Nam Tofu House in Milpitas. I know what you're thinking. If you tried one Korean restaurant, you've tried them all. Let's face it, whatever you cook with Kimchee, it still tastes like Kimchee. But what I love about this place is their friendly staff. Not to mention the never ending self-served yogurt. Too bad they were out of the soft-serve when I got there. I ordered Gal-Bi (BBQ Short Ribs) and Kimchee Jji-gae (Kimchee Tofu Soup).

T-Qualizer

Ordered this shirt a couple weeks ago from ThinkGeek and it finally came in this morning. It lights up to the beat of the music you're playing.

The Cans Festival

If you are unaware, London held an event this past weekend called The Cans Festival. A collection of some of the most amazing stencil graffiti artists such as Banksy, Blek Le Rat, Sten, Sadhu, were invited to display some of their work. This was also an open event allowing anyone and everyone to show off their own stencil graffiti. The rules were simple.

- This is a stencil only event no freehand lettering or characters
- Report to reception on arrival and they’ll show you where to paint
- No going over other artists
- Painting outside the designated area may well result in prosecution.

There were plenty of amazing artwork on display and too many to choose from to post on my blog. Over 28,000 people visited tunnel art show and 623 of them painted on the walls. You can see the rest of the pictures at SuperTouch. This is one of those events where I wish I was there to witness it first hand. I mean, where else can you go, that allows you to participate in what is considered a felony, surrounded by people that share the same love for art?
